Science Alive visited Belfast School!

This term we are learning about water. We were very lucky to have Science Alive come to our school and teach us all about water. We learnt about erosion and how rivers move sand down the mountains and onto beaches. We learnt about the difference between a solid, liquid and a gas. We learnt about different objects and why these float on water and why some sink below the surface. 

This was a great experience and Room 7 loved to experiment with water in different ways! A big thank you to our parent helpers who taught us so many interesting things!

Room 7's reflection - Week 7

In Room 7 we are learning about reflecting about our week. We are focusing on things that we have enjoyed this term.

We enjoyed going to the beach because we got to swim. We learnt about being safe in the water. We learnt to Slip on a T-shirt. We learnt to Slop on some sun screen. We learnt to Slap on a hat. We learnt to Wrap on some sunglasses.

We learnt about Keeping Ourselves Safe. Ayden says we learnt about touch we like and touch that hurts and touch that confuses us. Hazel says we learnt about all the different parts of the body, our Tinana.

Akuira enjoyed swimming in the school pool. George know we do not jump into the pool. Arman knows that we don't do belly flops. Tiana enjoys putting her head under the water. Cameo is very careful in the pool.
Room 7 loved the Swimming Demonstration we got to show off all of our skill to our parents.

We visited the Beach!

Room 7 had an awesome time at the beach last week.

We learned lots of important rules and how to keep ourselves safe at the beach. We learned about swimming between the flags, our new friends the lifeguards and how to be sun smart. We all can SLIP SLOP SLAP and WRAP!

We had so much fun creating sand castles and even having a swim on the beach.

We have made a treaty!

We have discussed the rules that we have in our classroom. These will help us to show our Belfast School Values of Care, Share, Learn and Grow!

Numeracy Learning

We have been thinking about maths and the exciting games that we can play that can help our learning. We have learnt games like king of the dice, guess my number, snakes and ladders and many more! Don't be afraid to ask us how to play, we would love to show you!

Blasting off to a new year!
